Today I wanted to write a review on the first Star Wars Diamond Painting I did. It was a large project and although I was extremely intimidated by it I couldn’t wait to get started. I hope my review below will help some of you when you are getting ready to start your next Star Wars project.
Size: 45 x 60 cm
Full/Part Drill: Full Square Drill
My daughter is a HUGE Star Wars fan so I made her this for Christmas last year. I was laid off so I had time to work on it and it also saved me money towards gifts since things were pretty tight.
I am not sure how long the average Diamond Painting projects are taking for folks and for most of us we can’t work on it 8 hours a day so I will say this took me quite awhile. I will have to start keeping track how long it takes me going forward, I didn’t realize I would be starting a blog about the crafts I do. I will say it probably took me 3 to 4 weeks, working on it a few hours a day. My job at the time was looking for a job so I would spend about 7 hours a day doing that and then once I closed the computer down and after dinner I would usually start my crafts.
I found this to really help with my stress factors. When I was feeling very frustrated with the job search process and the lack of calls I was receiving I always felt better after I worked on my Diamond Painting project. This can be a great way to reduce stress and get your mind off stressful things going on around you.
Where Did I Purchase This:
I ordered this one from AliExpress and even though it’s coming from China it came pretty quickly. It’s also a Full Square Drill, which means the entire picture had to be filled in and it was the square drill vs the round drills. I do like the square drills better, they fill everything in nicely. The important part of this particular project is the size you get, it needs to be pretty big or you won’t be able to make out some of the characters.
The colors are bright and shiny and the whole thing kept me on the edge as it came together. I just couldn’t wait to finish it.
Have you done any of the Star Wars Diamond Painting? I would love to hear which ones were your favorites and if you would recommend them? If you have never done a Diamond Painting, visit our page to learn how to Paint with Diamonds.
