Customized Diamond Painting
I have been enjoying Diamond Painting for over a year now and I finally decided to order my first custom kit. Have you tried this yet? I am super excited and literally just began it last night. It’s a Christmas gift for my mom so I need to get going with working 2 jobs I don’t have a lot of time to dedicate to my hobbies.
What Doors Will This Open Up?
Ever since I ordered my fist custom I started looking through my pictures to see what other ones I could order. It has really opened up my options and I will have a hard time only picking out a few. What customs have you done? What are your recommendations when choosing a picture? Does it have to be a certain size in order for it to look right? So many questions.
From what I’ve noticed the smaller the canvas the less clear it will be. So my suggestion would be bigger is better(ha!). At least in the Diamond Painting world.
Here is the one I’m doing. It’s my handsome cat, Shadow. I hope it comes out ok. Thoughts? I hope his features show through on the Diamond Painting project it’s hard when he’s all black. Out of all my fur-babies he is my mom’s favorite. When she moved in with me back in 2010, we only had a dog at the time and when he passed away the same year in November we were all heart broken.
Christmas morning came and we had no animals in the house and I vowed that would never happen again and we literally adopted Shadow from a friend’s recent litter the very next day. He was only 10 weeks old and she fell in love with him, as did we all. Shadow was actually born on Halloween in 2010, so I felt this picture is truly fitting. He was also the only all black cat in his litter, he looks just like his mom. The rest of the litter were black and white.
I would love to hear about your custom projects. Which ones went well, which ones not so well? Please put your comments below. It’s no wonder this is becoming somewhat addicting, so many choices. I just love it.
